Exterior & Hardscape in New Hampshire & Massachusetts
Siding and exterior repair, paver walkways, granite steps, and patios — the outside of your house, built to last through New England winters.

What We Handle
Good hardscape is mostly what you don't see. A paver walkway or patio is only as durable as the base under it, and the projects that fail are almost always the ones where someone skipped the prep. We build exterior and hardscape projects the way we build everything else - from the ground up, with the base and drainage done right before the first paver is set.
That means excavating to the proper depth, laying and compacting a stone base, and planning where water goes before we think about the surface. Pavers, granite steps, a walkway, a patio - the finished look matters, but it's the compacted base and clean grade transitions underneath that decide whether it's still flat and tight in ten New England winters.
On a recent Newburyport project, we took a worn front entry down to the ground and rebuilt it: an eight-inch compacted base, Cambridge ArmorTec Ledgestone pavers with a contrasting border, solid granite treads set on a new poured pad, and a washed-stone side path to the back gate. When the homeowners decided mid-project to finish the lawn in sod instead of seed, we adjusted and they had a finished front yard the same week as the finished walkway.
We work in the materials that hold up here - Cambridge pavers, natural stone, granite - and we handle the grade work that ties it all together, including regrade, seed, or sod to finish the job clean. The walkway, the steps, the drainage, and the lawn around them come together as one project, not four separate calls.
You get one point of contact and the same oversight we bring indoors. We schedule the work, hold the crew to our standard, and leave the site clean. Outdoor work is still your home - it gets treated that way.
If you're planning a walkway, patio, steps, or a full front-entry rebuild in New Hampshire or Massachusetts, we'll walk the site, talk through materials and grade, and hand you a clear written estimate. Built to last through the winters, not just the first summer.

Siding, Trim & Exterior Repair
Hardscape is only half of what happens outside a house. The other half is the envelope - siding, trim, fascia, soffit, and the details around windows and doors that keep weather where it belongs. When those go, they rarely announce it. You notice soft trim under a window, paint that won't hold, or a corner board that's gone spongy, and by then the water has usually been at it for a while.
We repair and replace siding and exterior trim, including the rot that's behind most of these calls. That means opening up enough to see how far the damage actually runs rather than covering it, replacing compromised sheathing and framing where we find it, and correcting whatever let the water in - usually flashing, a failed caulk joint, or trim that was never detailed right to begin with. Patching over rot just moves the problem a few years down the road.
The work covers full siding replacement and targeted repair, exterior trim and corner boards, fascia and soffit, window and door trim, and the flashing details at every transition. Rakes, eaves, and the line where a wall meets a roof are where exteriors fail first, and they get the attention they earn.
Exterior repair also pairs naturally with the rest of what we do. A house getting a new roof is often the right time to deal with fascia and rake trim, and a front-entry rebuild is the right time to sort out the trim and siding around the door rather than building a new walkway up to old rot.
If you've got soft trim, failing paint, damaged siding, or a spot you suspect but can't see, we'll come look and tell you what we find - including telling you when it's smaller than you feared.
